A beautiful example of the iconic Model 1590 lounge chair produced by Danish manufacturer Fritz Hansen in the 1940s, a reupholstered seat in luxurious shearling lambswool. Crafted in solid elm, the chair’s sculptural form and understated expression reflect an important moment in Scandinavian Modern design, bridging traditional craftsmanship and early Functionalist sensibilities.

The sculpted wooden frame, characterised by gently curved armrests and a visually engaging open spindle structure, conveys both stability and refined elegance. The warm tones of the elm complement the deep, soft texture of the lambswool seat, making this singular seating piece both visually striking and exceptionally comfortable.
