Danish Modern Brutalist Dining Table in Pine, Hans Jørgen Frydendal, 1970s

€2,800.00

A large rectangular dining table designed by Hans Jørgen Frydendal as part of the iconic “Christian IV” series, produced in Denmark during the 1970s. Crafted in solid patinated pomeranian pine, the table features a bold architectural construction with thick plank top, trestle-style base, and strong geometric lines characteristic of Scandinavian rustic modernism.

The solid pine displays a beautiful warm patina with pronounced grain patterns, knots, and natural variations, emphasizing the organic qualities of the material.

The table is fitted with one extension leaf measuring 50 cm, allowing for flexible use and generous seating capacity when extended.

Part of the celebrated “Christian IV” collection, the design reflects Hans Jørgen Frydendal’s focus on durability, simplicity, and traditional craftsmanship interpreted through a modern Scandinavian lens.

A timeless and highly versatile piece that will complement many interior styles. A Vintage, Antique, Scandinavian, Rustic, Wabi Sabi, Modern, or an Art Deco home decor.
