Danish Folk Art Armchair in Oak & Lambswool Seat, Early 20th Century, 1930s
A beautifully crafted Danish armchair in solid oak, produced during the late 19th to early 20th century. The chair is executed in a refined blend of historicism and neoclassicism, featuring elegant carved details, sculptural armrests, and a distinctive geometric “HXH” motif in the backrest.
Crafted in richly patinated oak, the frame displays a warm deep tone with beautiful grain patterns and subtle signs of age and use that enhance its authentic antique character. The seat has been upholstered in a soft light sheepskin, adding warmth and tactile contrast to the darker wooden frame.
Both functional and decorative, the chair works beautifully as an accent chair in living rooms, bedrooms, reading corners, or entrance halls. Its timeless character allows it to integrate effortlessly into both classic and contemporary interiors.
