Set of 8 'Razorblade' Chairs in Oak & Hessian by Danish Henning Kjærnulf, 1960s
A sculptural and highly recognizable set of eight “Razorblade” dining chairs crafted in solid oak. Designed by Henning (Henry) Kjærnulf for Nyrup Møbelfabrik and produced circa the 1960s, these chairs exemplify the bold yet refined character of mid-century Scandinavian design.
The seats have been reupholstered with a beautiful, natural hessian fabric, enhancing both comfort and visual balance while respecting the original design. The strong vertical backrests and sharply defined profiles give the chairs a distinctive architectural presence, while the solid oak construction underscores their durability and craftsmanship.
These modern chairs have a really strong impression that pairs well with many types of interior styles. A Modern, Scandinavian, Classic or an Art deco home decor.
With a heavy focus on functionality, this design style leans toward modernism, while incorporating coziness. The Scandinavian design style aims to provide a way for people to live more sustainably and in harmony with one another.
